Vietnam Banks Expand Preferential Business Lending

On 5 November, the State Bank reported that more than 20 banks had introduced preferential credit programmes for businesses and priority sectors. Lending rates on new loans had fallen by 0.2–0.5 percentage points in late October, while selected preferential programmes offered reductions of 0.5–2 percentage points annually.
